1. Prep - First we prep the concrete by filling any joints, cracks, or divots. We check for moisture in the concrete and apply a moisture vapor barrier if necessary.We then grind the top layer of the concrete in order to clean it and make sure that the epoxy will bond to it.
2. Prime -If needed, this is where we will apply a moisture vapor barrier, primer, or anything that is necessary prior to the base-coat application.
3. Base Coat - The first layer of epoxy is pigmented to provide a great canvas and strong foundation before we go in with the second layer.
4. Second Layer - Depending on the type of finish requested, we will either broadcast flake, quartz, or another coat of epoxy, or we will lay down a beautiful metallic layer.
5. Top coat - Finally, we will apply a strong, durable top coat. We have options for UV protection, slip resistance, matte or gloss, chemical resistance, and any other features that are important in order for floor longevity.
